DESIGN TRENDS OF 2026
Ring in the new year with some design knowledge.
A new year has arrived, and with the new year we have more design trends and developments to explore. Some may seem familiar; others might surprise you. Regardless, we’ve listed a few of our favorite up and coming trends and we’re excited to share them with you!
One of the biggest aspiring trends of 2026 we are noticing is a love for Moroccan and hand painted tiles. The desire for a cozy, authentic, lived in space makes all the difference in your home and hand painted tiles are the perfect way to do it! Keep it simple with some texture from terracotta tiles or pick a design with fun colors to accentuate your home’s natural beauty.
Everyone knows that small details make a big difference. That notion has absolutely seeped into the design world, in fact small decorative details are something we love to see! Created interest through decorative toe kicks, wall paneling, and crown molding add the perfect touch of sophistication and charm. A little goes a long way.
Mixing textures can create a beautiful canvas for the personality of your remodel. We find that, especially in kitchen and bathrooms, tiles are a great way to express the personality of a space. The texture of tiles doesn’t have to be physical – it can also be visually textural through pattern and color.
Staying on that same note, mixing metals has been in the running for a while now! Similar to mixing and matching textures, the metals in your remodel can add a finishing touch that ties everything together. We go into depth about the impact of mixing metals in our blog post, “Mixing Metals”. This trend fits amazingly with the idea of small decorative details.
With that being said, using all of these trends in tandem would make a perfect checklist for your remodel project. Mixing textures with the homey, customized feel of hand painted tiles would work beautifully with mixed metals and small decorative details.
Now that you’ve got some insight into 2026, we can’t wait to see how to implement these into your remodel! How will you use them?
