2025 Design Trend Predictions
Trendy, chic, bold, unique.
The New Year brings new design trends, some of which you may not have expected to see. A gathering of design and color professionals have shared their insight about what will be in vogue this year. The plethora of design ideas in this blog post has us giddy with excitement. Let us show you what designers are predicting.

A design trend that continues to stand strong is earth tones. This matches the 2025 Pantone Color of the Year perfectly. Using terracotta, olive green, ochre, and warm browns are innovative ways to warm your space. As more research is completed on biophilic design, it’s important to remember the impact that nature has on us. What better way to incorporate it by adding biophilia to our homes? We also predict that a combination of wood tone and green cabinets will spike in preference, with an occasional splash of warm white.

We’re not dampening the mood, in fact, we’re adding to it. Boldness is a quality of this year’s trends that has us in awe. Designers are favoring richer, warmer hues over cool, monochromatic gray tones. One striking way to add depth to your space is by implementing color drenching. Color drenching is a technique that sees designers painting an entire room the same color, including door trim, ceiling details, and other wall decorations. Implementing color drenching can be an innovative way to make furniture pieces the star of the show.

There’s always something for everyone, including our maximalists and minimalists. Rather than picking just one, we’re favoring both! Maximalist style is being embraced through texture, and lots of it. Throw that wallpaper on the ceiling, add layers with different tiles, and give your countertop a bit of a satin finish as well. Layering texture, both literally and visually, will create a dynamic mix of beautiful lines and colors.

If you’re more adept to minimalist trends, consider these next design tips. Texture is still important to create depth, just tone it down a bit. Switch the bold colors for a neutral tone or a green to create sophistication. Luxe Minimalism is all about luxury in simplicity, so creating soft lines can create the illusion of a taller ceiling or a longer room. Consider using your countertop or tile to add that spritz of interest, whether it be through texture or color. You don’t have to be over the top to make something look unique.

There’s no doubt we’ll have more trends being introduced as the year progresses, but we’re already in love with these initial proposals. Do you have a favorite in mind, or were you a wise designer ahead of the times?
