Out of all the kitchen elements that Dahlia focuses on in our projects, there is one recurring non-negotiable that is asked for constantly: more space. The question is, how do we incorporate space saving solutions into the same or similar layout? We recommend adding a pantry, and there are multiple ways you can go about personalizing it to your space!

Pantries are a versatile and personable way to add space to your remodel, no matter the size or configuration.  It is perhaps every homeowner’s wish to have a large space for kitchen storage and overflow. A popular luxury is the walk-in pantry layout, a designated room for extra storage and appliances.

Walk-in pantries have potential for cabinet layout flexibility, with options for a customized built-in look or simple shelving. They also provide a sense of separation from the main kitchen layout, which is perfect if you desire a closed off storage space for extra clutter.

For a cleaner, more streamlined approach, you may opt for a one-wall pantry design. These typically showcase a group of large floor-to-ceiling cabinets to house typical pantry items. Large built-ins are the most popular pantry layout for remodels that work with the same floor plan, since they require little to no change in layout.

If your vision includes a dash of flair, you may consider a home bar merged with pantry storage. Mixing these functions can create a functional drop zone for hosting guests with the opportunity for personal stylization. Make a statement with a bold cabinet color or a unique tile design!
