BOLD POWDER ROOM DESIGNS
Bold is back, baby.
Design trends are constantly out with the old and in with the new. Sometimes it’s hard to keep track of what’s “in season” and what’s on its way out. One of our favorite blossoming trends happens to be an underdog of sorts: the powder room. Follow along to see why!
Powder rooms, while not the most originally extravagant room in the house, have just as important a role as any other kitchen or bathroom. Don’t forget about this hidden treasure, because powder rooms are one of the most used spaces in your house! Why is this important? Powder rooms have become canvases for artistic expression and luxurious statement pieces. We decorate our spaces based on our design preferences, so creating a bold and beautiful powder room is a terrific way to express your unique style!
How can you embolden your space? A few great options to start with are bold colors, wallpaper, and statement pieces. Bold colors correlate perfectly with color drenching, a technique we talk about it our previous post, Trends of 2025. Dahlia has a particular love for jewel tones, a classic and elegant option for a powder room design.
However, your color scheme doesn’t need to be dark and moody to be impactful. Perhaps picking a color that matches your fancied wallpaper will tie everything together in your space. Wallpaper, if chosen strategically, is certainly making a comeback and we’re here for it.
Statement pieces can be many things, such as a statement sink, toilet, mirror, or wall sconce. If you’re considering this route, you’ll want your statement piece to be the center of attention. If you truly wanted, you could even make the wall color or wallpaper the statement piece as well. It’s all about making it custom to your home.
There are so many ways to mix and match style with materials, and the most fun part is creating something from it that is entirely your own. Be bold and be you!
