Dahlia Studio

The Dahlia Studio is officially under construction! 

We are in the process of creating a design studio for our clients and happened to stumble upon this unique unfinished, vacant unit full of natural light. The Dahlia Studio will be filled with samples of various product finishes, all displayed in the same type of light you would find in your own home.

Being that the space was unfinished, we had the opportunity to design the studio layout to fit our exact needs. The main showroom area will be split into two halves. The side closest to the window wall will feature a striking wall of cabinet displays, a large island, and a unique lighting feature. The other half will have a coffee bar and table like seating area, surrounded by tile and countertop displays. Our administrative offices will be tucked against the far wall of the space, creating a unique showroom experience.

What struck us the most about this particular space was the large wall of windows across the entire front of the unit as well as the tall ceilings. Lighting is so important in interior design. The last thing you want to do is fall in love with a sample at a showroom, just to take it home and realize it looks completely different in your home’s natural light. Can lighting, complemented by a few decorative fixtures will complete the lighting in the space.

Contstruction is officially underway and walls are currently being framed in. Rough electrical should be completed later this week, followed by inspections and drywall work. We are going to jump in after the space is in white box condition to install the finishing elements including flooring, doors, trim, cabinetry, and decorative fixtures.
