Studio Design Update

The studio is progressing beautifully as we await the arrival of our cabinetry displays.

Our displays will feature Woodharbor Custom Cabinetry in a variety of paint colors, wood species, and door styles. The cabinets will arrive next week and Jesse and Brandon will be busy installing them right before Thanksgiving. In the meantime, Jesse utilized his custom carpentry skills to prep our wainscot feature wall.

Wainscot paneling originated in the 18th century as a wall covering used to help insulate a room and provide a more durable surface than painted drywall. Now, it is mainly used as a decorative wall accent to make a room more visually appealing. Wainscot was historically made from wood, but is now constructed from a variety of materials and is installed in all sorts of patterns on the lower portion of a wall.

We took a very non-traditional approach to our wainscot paneling to add a bit more style, uniqueness, and visual interest. Amber and Brenda from Refine Paint & Design are stopping by the space to paint the paneling a warm light gray color that will coordinate with our doors and trim this week. 

We’re also starting to fill the space with samples of tile, countertops, hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl tile flooring, fabric, wallpaper, cabinet hardware, and closet cabinets. All of the samples in our showroom are materials our clients will be able to utilize while visualizing the design of their new space. Visualization is key in pulling together a successful design. Physical samples are one of the most important tools to utilize when designing your space. Paired with our 3D rendering software, even people who have a hard time visualizing spaces are able to see a representation of their new space.

When finished, our studio will be a one stop shop for all of your interior remodeling needs. Check back over the next few weeks to see our cabinet displays!
