Blue And White Bathroom

We are just wrapping up our blue and white bathroom remodel on the east side of Madison.

All that is left to finish in the space is the installation of floating shelves above the toilet and cabinet hardware once they arrive. This project features design elements with bold contrast, making for a very stunning finished appearance. In a small space, contrast is often used as a design choice to make the room appear larger.

This beautiful bathroom features a white vanity that was custom built for the space. Storage space is extremely valuable in a small bathroom, so the vanity is composed of two cabinets that are different depths. The step back in cabinet depth by the door allows the door to swing open hitting the vanity. This was a great solution to avoid having a void of underutilized space in the corner.

A bold blue mosaic tile was used above the vanity to create a striking focal point, complemented by a brass mirror and plumbing fixtures. This tile has a hand glazed appearance that creates a strong color variation within the group of tiles. The variation in color adds a layer of depth to the tile that brings charm to the space. To make the tile pop further, we used a bright white grout color.

To tie together the white vanity and contrasting blue tile, the client selected a soft gray marble-look quartz countertop and a classic white undermount sink.

Subway tile is a great choice for just about any space. In this bathroom, we installed the subway tile in a traditional brickset pattern. We also used a very soft gray grout color that brought out the color in the countertops and floor.

Small design details add layers of depth to a space that creates a huge visual impact. We work hand in hand with our clients to form intricate, cohesive spaces.
